TRI ÂN MONUMENT
JEFFERSONTOWN, KENTUCKY

Jeffersontown KY is home to the Tri Ân Monument, which honors those who fought to protect the freedom and democracy for the people of South Vietnam during the war. The monument is built from granite sourced from Vietnam, with eight columns symbolizing the eight allied nations that provided troops to fight against the Communists.

The Tri Ân Monument was unique due to the granite panels that were ordered directly from a quarry in Vietnam. The challenge was to unload and transport, then raise them from a horizontal position to a vertical one. E-Z Construction successfully partnered with a structural engineer to design and construct a lifting rig that would support the 4-ton granite panels, while providing the ability to rotate for placement and prevent damage.
