At an extremely remote site, E-Z Construction successfully installed a 25-ton sluice gate 45’ underground and a second gate immediately beneath the I-64 overpass.

The work required bypass of flow within a 10’ diameter storm outflow pipe systems to the Ohio River. The embedded cast iron frame was cut out and the new frames were installed while safety confined space monitoring and constant safety inspections protected our workers.  Gate actuators, rising stems and stem guides required precise installation and alignment.
