Primary purpose
Effectively uses, operates and maintains power construction equipment such as track type excavators, skid steer loaders, dozers, backhoes and wheel loaders to excavate, grade and prepare excavation areas for piping, structures, parking lots and drainage.

Typical Duties
Safety work outside and operate around other workers, operate equipment in tight or confined conditions. Operate equipment without supervision necessary to make cuts and fills, compact dirt to required specifications, load trucks, grade and prepare dirt and gravel necessary for construction.

Must perform minor repairs and grease and maintain equipment.

Operator must be able to control grades, slopes and level surfaces within close tolerances. Operator must be physically able to mount and dismount equipment, occasionally lift and carry 50 pounds. Assist other trades when idle.

Needs to understand basic verbal and safety instruction in English and work in a team environment with positive and productive results. Be dependable, reliable and exceptional in work performance.
