E-Z Construction was proud to be apart of the transformational $5 million Castle Gardens Project at Yew Dell Botanical Gardens in Crestwood, Kentucky. This ambitious renovation rejuvenates the area surrounding the iconic Yew Dell Castle, tripling the garden space and introducing new landscape, water features, and accessibility upgrades. Working with landscape designer Land Morphology and in partnership with Yew Dell’s dedicated staff, board, and community supporters, the project brings to life a vision for a more inviting, educational, and inclusive botanical destination. Completed in 2025, the Castle Gardens represents a major milestone in Yew Dell’s growth—honoring its historic roots while opening up new possibilities for visitors and programming.

In particular, project manager Ben Davis was a joy to work with and worked masterfully to coordinate the EZ crew, subcontractors, the designers at LandMorphology, and our Yew Dell staff. And I’d like to also single out Justin Pate who served as the day-to-day superintendent of the onsite crew. His constant grin and positive attitude, combined with his constant attention and detailed eye, kept things moving along smoothly. Watching Justin and his crew work on a freezing rain soaked day, under a quickly assembled 2 by 4 and plastic sheet shelter just to keep the project moving forward, epitomizes the way the EZ people work.”
